A field guide to the people who make the night sky meaningful.

Stellar People Guide

Editorial policy

Stellar People Guide publishes carefully edited explanations and reflections about astronomy, skywatching and the human relationship with the night sky. We value clarity, context and an honest account of what a piece can and cannot establish.

Accuracy and sources

Writers should check factual claims against reliable, relevant sources and make the basis of important statements clear. We review material for accuracy, wording and context, and revise it when better information changes what readers should understand. We do not present speculation as established fact or promise that a sky event will be visible from every place.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for reader interest, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.

Corrections

If a reader spots an error, they can contact us through the Contact page. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make the change clear where the correction materially affects a reader's understanding.

Images and illustrations

Images and illustrations are selected to support the subject and not to imply an observation that did not happen. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations rather than documentary views.

Our point of view

The sky belongs to everyone who looks up.

A little orientation can turn a scattered field of stars into a place to explore. We pair clear explanations with attention to the ways people have looked upward together.
